December 20,2000 <br /> EVERETT CITY COUNCIL/PORT OP EVERETT SPECIAL MEETING <br /> A special messing of the Commissioners of the Pott of Everett and the Everett <br /> City Council wos called to order at 7:30 p.m.,December 20,2000 in the <br /> Everett City Council Chambers of the City of Everett,Council President <br /> Campbell presiding.Mayor Hmuen;Executive Director Mohr;Commissioners <br /> Barman,Hopkhu and Shaffer;and Couocilmembem Anderson,Simpson, <br /> Warnock,Gipson,Campbell,and Overstreet were present. Councilmembar <br /> Pope was excused. <br /> President Campbell introduced the three Port Commissioners and stated,s,the <br /> purnee of the mating is for the Port and the City w begin to work together o0 <br /> issues which concern them both. <br /> Commissioner Bannon stated Wt the muting was long overdue and that ar wu <br /> may pleased to be here. <br /> John Mohr,Execu ver Director,Port of Everett,gave an overview of the Port's <br /> activities and projects. <br /> Paul Roberts,Planing Director,spoke regarding the cooperation that the City <br /> has received from the Port on a variety of projects and how valuable it has been. <br /> Michael Stringhan,Parterre Engineering,discussed freight mobility and its <br /> importance to the City of Everett. <br /> Ed Pulrovakis,Deputy Director,Port of Everett,gave a brief presentation on <br /> the background of the California Street Overcrossing project.He stated dial the <br /> project in now fully Ended. <br /> Norm Smrme,Reid Middleton,described the proposed design of the project and <br /> thou rationale concerning the closure of the railroad crossings at the west end of <br /> Bond Sneet,Hewitt Avenue and California Street. <br /> J <br /> 592 <br />� y..i.. sai6 th� Yak <br />
