°member 20.WOO <br /> Councilmember Overstreet questioned whether any alteratives had been <br /> studied.Mr.Stamm stated that they had looked at a number of alteratives but <br /> due to physical constraints,they were not feasible. <br /> Brad Cattle,Port Attorney,Woke regarding the environmental review of the <br /> proposed overoeossiog and the resolution of four appeals which were filed. <br /> Dave Davis,Public Works,reviewed the milestones which the City has <br /> accomplished regarding the California Steer Ovemrossing project and the future <br /> actions which will come before the City Council.He stated that the City has <br /> just bore awarded a 5250,000 grant to provide a pedmoiau overoe acing <br /> associated with the closure of the three railroad crossings. <br /> John Mohr discussed the mOmones that the Pon of Everett has accomplished <br /> regarding the project,the future actions to be taken by the Port Commission and <br /> the benefits of this facility to the public. <br /> Drew Nielsen,1311 Hoyt,presented slides and spoke on behalf of a group of <br /> citizens concerned about the loss of public access which would rem from the <br /> closure of Bond Stmt,Hewitt Avenue and California Sem. <br /> Harold Payette.2504 Heather Way,President of the Longshoremen's Local, <br /> commented that be supports the California Sam Overcrosslog and that it will <br /> provide quick access to the waterfront in nae of as emergency. <br /> Carol Bradford,11400 Airport Road,Suite B,Vice President of the Everett <br /> Area Chambre of Commerce,sated that they recognize the importance of this <br /> project in mining freight mobility needs and that they support its approval. <br /> Allem Langhans, 2630 Gond Avenue, spoke resenting the lack of <br /> neighborhood notification and communication regarding the Proposed project. <br /> Mary Ehrlick,2208 Rucker,commented on safety issues concerning the <br /> waterfront. <br /> David Mascareas,517 Laurel Drive,requested that a public hearing be held <br /> before huller action is takes by the City Council regarding this project. <br />
