January 17,2001 <br /> RESOLUTION-GREENS FEES <br /> Moved by Couaeilmember Overstreet, seconded by Councilmember <br /> Anderson to adopt Resolution No.5000 enablishiug greens fees for the City <br /> of Everett Municipal Golf Courses,Legion Memorial and Welter E.Hall, <br /> for the years 2001,2002,2003,2004 and 2005,directing the deposit of <br /> admission tan to the revenue accounts of the Golf fund. <br /> Bob Cooper,Parks,gave a brief slide presentation regarding the proposed golf <br /> Joe Pauley,1427 100•Street SW 4162,a raidem of Everett,spoke in support <br /> of the highs grans fees for non-residents. <br /> Smart Nicol,1907 100.Street SW,expressed his disapproval of the extra fees <br /> charged for league and tournament play. <br /> Moved by Couneilmember Pope,seconded by Coweilmember Gipson to <br /> amend the motion to allow anyone 70 years of age and over to pay a 1600 <br /> annual fee instead 051700. <br /> Couacihoember Overstreet questioned how many members would be affected. <br /> Bob Cooper seated that there are approximately 120 senior members and about <br /> half of them would be 60 to 70 years old. <br /> Hal Hendricks,1507 Cedar,questioned whether the amendment will allow <br /> seniors to play either golf course for the$600.00 annual fee. Bob Cooper <br /> explained that if you buy a membership at one golf course,you are eligible for a <br /> 75%disemmt on daily fey rounds at the other. <br /> Roll was called on the amendment with all councilmembers voting yes except <br /> Couocilmembers Anderson,Simpson,Gipson and Overstreet who voted no and <br /> Councilmembem Warnock and Campbell who were excused. <br /> Motion defeated. <br />
