laniary 17,2001 Moved by Councilmember Pope to lower the fee increases for seniors for the years 200210 2005 from$50 a year to$25 a year. Motion failed for lack of second. Resolution No.5000 is as follows: WHEREAS,there is a periodic need to increusc existing golf course greens f to provide necessary Ponds for the continuation of golf course capiml improvement projects and to provide additional revenues to offset the increasing costs of maintenance,management and operation;and WHEREAS,the Everett City Council adopted the policy of the City that the golf mires be self supporting within their fee structures;and WHEREAS, the Everett City Council wishes to continue the course improvements suggested iv the Conceptual Master Plans,adopted May 1.1996, for Legion Memorial and Walter E.Hall Golf Courses;and WHEREAS,the Everem City Council desire,to establish a five year tate .ucture that provides a consistent,gradual rete increase schedule designed m provide sufficient income to finance the course improvement plan;and WHEREAS,on April 23,1997,the City Council approved a construction contract for the remodel of the Legion Golf Course in the amount of 54,708,360;and WHEREAS,an February 25,1998,the City Council approved a construction contract for the remodel of the Legion Pro Shop and Restaurant in the amount of 9952,760;and WHEREAS,further tate increases are necessary to pay for the increased cost of the course remodel,the ranadel of the pro shop/restauratn building,and the contract management of the pro shop service,, NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERE T as follows:
