He stated that the purpose of the project H to develop a safe <br /> means to move people to and from the waterfront. <br /> Dave Davis,City Eagioeer,gave a brief prweotation regarding changes that <br /> have been made to the design of the California Street Overmossmg project in <br /> spouse to concerns raised by councilmembers and citizens at the laouary 17, <br /> 2001 City Council meeting. The intersection of California Street and West <br /> Marine View Drive has been altered to encourage truck traffic to go north oa <br /> Went Marine View Drive rather than through the Central Buaioes Distriel. <br /> There will be signage directing northbound trucks to I-5 via West Marine View <br /> Drive and southbound mucks onto West Marine View Drive to Pacific Avers e. <br /> In respect to concerns regarding the closure of Bond Street where it intersects <br /> the Bayside Line,the Port of Everett and Burlington Northern have concurred <br /> with a pedestrian only crossing at Gat location. <br /> Bh1 Belahaw,2111 Rucker,thanked the City Council re behalf of the Bayside <br /> and Pon Gardner Neighborhoods for their comms and support regarding the <br /> pedestrian crossing at Bond Surat. <br /> David Mascarenas,517 Laurel Drive,spoke against the proposed resolution and <br /> the closures of Hewitt Avenue and California Street where they intersect the <br /> Bayside Line. <br /> 34 <br />
