January26,2001 <br /> Councilmember Gipson questioned whether California Soon and Hewitt Avenue <br /> could remain open. Dave Davis stated that Ne aligmnent of the California <br /> Street Overcrassing would prevent California Street from remaining open. <br /> Hewitt Avenue could remain open but it would affect the funding for the project <br /> which is tied to the elimination of the atgrade crossings. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Pope,seconded by Couatllmember Anderson to <br /> close the public hearing. <br /> Rall was called with all onnooumembers voting yes except Councilmember <br /> Campbell who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION-CALIPORNIA STREET OVERCROSSING <br /> Moved by Councilmember Pope,seconded by Councilmember Warnock to <br /> adopt Resolution No.5003 providing for the closure of Hewitt Avenue, <br /> California Street and partial closure of Bond Street where these streets <br /> Intersect the BNSF Bayside Line w conjunction with the California Street <br /> Overcrossiug project. <br /> Moved by Councilmember Gipson,seconded by Canocilmember Overstreet <br /> to amend the motion to keep Hewitt Avenue open to pedestrian traffic. <br /> Roll was called on die amendment with all councilmembem voting yes except <br /> Coyne...rube.Aodenon,Simpson,Warnock,Pope and Overstreet who voted <br /> no and Councihnember Campbell who was excused. <br /> Motion defeated. <br /> 35 <br />
