lanuary26,2001 <br /> PUBLIC HEARING-AGREEMENT/CALIFORNIA STREET <br /> OVERCROSSING <br /> President Simpson opened a public hearing regarding a supplemental agreement <br /> with the Port of Everel for the California Street Overcmasiug pr jest. <br /> President Simpson invited public comment. <br /> Couocilmember Pope left the Council Chambers. <br /> David Maarareoaa,517 Laurel Drive,questioned what the"las.,program <br /> is.Dave Davis,City Engineer,stated that it is an acronym for 13 agencies that <br /> are working toward improving the access of height is and out of the Puget <br /> Sound area. <br /> Moved by Coaue0member Overstreet, seconded by Couucilmember <br /> Anderson to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all couocilm®berg voting yes except Camnilmembers <br /> Campbell and Pope who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilmember Pope returned to the meeting. <br /> AGREEMENT-CALIFORINIA STREET OVERCROSSING <br /> Moved by Couaulmember Warnock,seconded by Couneilmember Gipson <br /> to authorize the Mayor to sign a supplemental agreement with the Port of <br /> Everett for the California Street Overerosaing project. <br /> Moved by Couneilmember Overstreet, seconded by Couacilmember <br /> Warnock to insert another whereas in the supplemental agreement to r®d, <br /> "Whereas,it has been the City's long-term policy,and ME continue to be <br /> o reduce or discourage through truck traffic through the City's Cenral <br /> Business District". <br /> 37 <br />
