She voiced concern about parking and felt that sites east of Broadway <br /> would be better. <br /> Councilmember Warnock questioned what effect proposed Lyrmwood and <br /> Edmonds PFD facilities might have on Everett's facility?Don Hale,PFD,stated <br /> that the facility that Lynnwood has proposed is a convention center.Edmonds <br /> have not yet reached a decision. <br /> City Attorney Spine stated that the City,PFD and Snohomish County have been W <br /> negoriahorat regarding parking issues.An interlocal agreement is to the process of <br /> being drafted.The County's new proposed parking area near Site 45 will provide <br /> an additional 600 spaces that could he used for special events. <br /> Carlene Nelson,l0S Street SE,voiced concern about the historical impacts of <br /> theproject.Her concern was that once Nsmry is taken away it can't be replaced. <br /> She was in agresnent with the center located on Site63. <br /> Dick Bennett,3707 Colby Ave.,said Were are many reasons to support Site O. <br /> Change is not easy but one must ronadae the health of the commis ity. <br /> Cheryl Lindley,eyrmeming the Everett Symphony,favored the special events <br /> ismer.It has the capacity to bring many wonderful events to the City with a <br /> possibility that the Symphony could perform W the center. <br /> Craig Skotdal,Skotdal Enterprises,urged the City Council to adopt the raalarien <br /> vcumvg with the PFD'a selection of Site 45 as the location for the special <br /> events carter. The other sites do not offer the redevelopment benefits m the <br /> downtown core. If the center is to be successful it must be designed around <br /> people not autos. <br /> Counegmember Warnock bed questions regarding the Historical Commission's <br /> input,Snohomish County's commitment with regard to parkio1 and whether the <br /> $41 million figure includes demolition. <br /> Don Hale responded that there have been meetings with the Historical <br /> Commission,They aremtaested in the broad area <br /> 313 <br />
