Upon roll call it was found that Mayor Haven and <br /> Councilmembers Anderson,Simpson,Warnock,Gipson,Pope,attd Overstreet <br /> were present.Councilmemb t Campbell was excused. <br /> Susan Francisco,Parks,led the Pledge of Allegiance <br /> The minutes df the August 22,2001 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Hansen read a proclamation encouraging residents to join the City of <br /> Everett in recognizing Cameron Stew for his heroism and commending his <br /> concern and actions on behalf of a drowning child.He presented Cameron with <br /> the proclamation,amedal and an honorary lifeguard tee shirt. <br /> Mayor Havoc reposed that 460 youths were recognized at the Mayor's Summer <br /> Reading awardspmsenrshon which was heldlast Thursday. <br /> He remarked that he met with Secretary of Transportation McDonald last night to <br /> discuss traffic congestion and was very encouraged. <br /> REPORT—DROWNING/SILVER LAKE <br /> Bob Cooper,Parks,reported on a drowning at Silver Lake Ns past weekend.He <br /> recognized the lifeguards who were on duty for their professional and prompt <br /> reepove. <br /> 3,3 <br />
