September 26,2001 <br /> President Simpson requested an overview of the memorandum. <br /> Briars Jones,Engineering Services,explained that the memorandum establishes <br /> the City as the conduit for the federal Transportation ENuneement funding for the <br /> project on behalf of the Pod of Everc2 It also limits the City's direct financial <br /> contribution to the project. <br /> Roll was callod with all councibnembers voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> AGREEMENT—CALIFORNIA STREET OVERCROSSBOQ <br /> Moved by Councilmember Campbell,seconded by CouncBmember Anderson <br /> te <br /> authorise the Mayor to sign a construction and maintenance agreement <br /> between the City of Everett and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for <br /> the California Skeet Overcroseing project. <br /> Couocihnember Gipson questioned if three will be potential ovmuns and what <br /> impact the Boeing cutbacks might have. <br /> Dave Davis,Public Works,answered that all funds will come from the Port of <br /> Everett and that the Booing Company isn't assoriated with this project. <br /> tine Longus,City staff,also stated that die City isn't investing any monies in this <br /> project.The funding will corse from federal and state sources.With regard to the <br /> use of the property,the Port will need to answer those questions. <br /> David Mascarene.,representing the Port Gardner Neighborhood,asked that <br /> Council not buildthis project.He voiced that theproject is not needed. <br /> President Simpson indicated that Re issue being discussed today is not whether to <br /> build the pject. <br /> 417 <br />
