November 28,2001 <br /> ALL-AMERICA CITY COMPETITION <br /> Dale Prehoski,Administration,stated that a staring committee has bea working <br /> on the prospect of the All-America City competition for the City of Everett.She <br /> introduced Ted Wave,YMCA;Tim Nowlis,The Boeing Company,and Sam <br /> Gillmam One Childhood,who explained the All-America City competition and <br /> what net be required to apply for the prestigious award.A stewing committee <br /> with five sub groups has been formed.Ted further explained that they will nod <br /> approximately$5,000 to start and would come back in need of more funding after <br /> the application is approved. <br /> Councihnember Pope questioned what the total budget would be if the application <br /> is accepted.The response was$20,000-$80,000. <br /> Comicilmember Overstreet stated that there is a need for the City Council's <br /> support <br /> Moved by Ceuncilmember Overshot,seconded by Counellmember Gipson <br /> to direct Administration on behalf of the City Council to prepare a resolution <br /> In support of the City of Everett's application for the All America City <br /> award. <br /> Roll was called with all courmiimembers voting yes. <br /> Mellon carried. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Mark Seine,City Attorney,reminded everyone that next week's city council <br /> meeting will be held Monday at 8:50 a.m.in place of the Wednesday maeting. <br /> City Attorney&sine requested anexecutive <br /> regarding one litigation <br /> one personnel matter and three real estate mutters to last approximately 45 <br /> minutes with no announcement. <br /> Councilmember Warnock left the council chambers. <br /> 512 <br />
