December 26,2001 <br /> Reid Shockey,Shackry Brent,Inc.,stated that part of the scope of work for pro- <br /> design of the project includes involvement of the Northeast and Riverside <br /> Neighborhoods.Also bicycle and handicapped interests will be included. <br /> Councilmember Gipson questioned the funding. <br /> Brian]ones,Public Work,gated that the City has received a design grant from <br /> the Federal government(f-21 Program)as well as some matching fords from the <br /> Port of Everett,Construction funds will be appli.for and a combination of <br /> funding may have to be used.The cost of the project will be approximately$2 <br /> million. <br /> Mayor Hansen stared Slit additional funding will be needed.State,federal and <br /> private funding will be used. <br /> The City Clerk was directed to call the roll for the final disposition of the <br /> ordinance. <br /> AYES: Anderson,Simpson,Pope,Oveatreet <br /> NAYS: Gipson <br /> EXCUSED: Warnock,Campbell <br /> Ordinance Na.2565-01 adopted. <br /> RESOLUTION—TRANSIT FARESTRANSFER POLICY <br /> Moved by Couucilmember Pap,eeeouded by Couuellmember Simpson to <br /> adopt Resolution No.5141 updating transit fares and transfer polity. <br /> Ken Housden,Transportation Services,stated that this resolution will establish an <br /> update of transit fora.related to the downtown and also allow the City to <br /> provide Freedom Fare which is a promotional script. <br /> He inked that the City Council consider two options:establishing a now route <br /> (Route 5)as propos.in the neat agenda Iron and a 5.25 charge for Routes 4 and <br /> 5 only,allowing 510 script ticket books and a 510 pass for those who wish to <br /> purchase it. <br /> 579 <br />
