December 26,2001 <br /> Roll was called with all mnncilmenbers voting yes except Councilmembers <br /> Warnock and Campbell who were excused. <br /> Motion monad. <br /> Councilmember Overstreet thanked the Mayor and staff for being responsive to <br /> the City Council's concerns. <br /> Mayor Hamm expressed appreciation on behalf of the Administration and staff <br /> for the support and leadership of the City Council.He stated that this is one of the <br /> special things we have going with Everett Transit,the ability for the policy makem <br /> at the City of Everett to make changer as needed to better serve our citizens. <br /> Regarding the fiture,if circumstances change in six months,change can be made <br /> as needed to better serve the community. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING—FREE STANDING RESTAURANTS <br /> • <br /> President Simpson opened a public heating regarding Council Bill No.01-12-00, <br /> a proposed ootimme amending the text of the Everen Zoning Code in the B-21,1 <br /> zone,regarding provision for free standing tataumnta occupying up to 66%of the <br /> total Boor area of given site. <br /> The Planning Commission$recommending changes to the text of the B-2B zone <br /> requirements in the Everett Zoning Code. The changes would revise rules <br /> governing mixed use floor area allowances kr restaurants.Currently restaurants <br /> are requited to be pats otmited use buildings in which they can occupy only up to <br /> 25%of the floor area of the building.The recommended change would allow <br /> them to be free standing and occupy up to 66%00the total floor area of a given <br /> siM <br /> Moved by Councilmember Pope,seconded by Couaoilmember Anderson to <br /> close the public hearing. <br /> No citizens wished to comment. <br /> 584 <br />
