July 3,2002 <br /> A meeting of 1 <br />• July 3.2002,1C <br /> in the CtyCouncil ncil was ll <br /> Chambers the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Hatloa presiding. <br /> OATH OF OFFICE <br /> Judge Charles French administered the Oath of Office to Frank Anderson <br /> as the new Mayor of the City of Everett <br /> The meeting recessed briefly and reconvened. <br /> Upon roll call if was found that Mayor Anderson,and Council Members <br /> Olson,Hato,Gipson,Campbell,Pope and Overstreet were present. <br /> Council Poston N.t is vacant at this time. <br /> Councilmember Pope led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 28,2002 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> ported. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Anderson thanked everyone for their support and is looking forward <br /> to being Mayor of the City of Everett. <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> Mayor Anderson introduced Mary Lunz,his new executive assistant,and <br /> Ann Averill who will be taking Mays position as administrative assistant. <br /> CO NCIL <br /> The city council members congratulated Mayor Anderson and extended <br /> their support. <br /> Council Member Olson reported on the Association of Washington Cities <br /> conference he attended where Bill Cushman,City of Everett Budget <br /> Director,gave a presentation on strategic budgeting.He also accepted a <br />
