July 17,2002 <br /> aA special meeting of the Everett Ciry Counail was called to ober et 0:30 <br /> .,July 17,2002,in the Ciry Council Chamber of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Fictive presiding.The purpose of the special meeting was to <br /> Interview the final seven candidates in order to fill the vacancy in City <br /> Council Position No.1.Upon roll call It was found that President Halloe, <br /> Council Members Olson,Gipson,Overstreet.Pope.Campbell were <br /> present. Mayor Anderson was excused from the council selection <br /> process. <br /> President Ratios gave opening remarks and explained the selection <br /> process. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Campbell to confirm the procedures that will be followed in this <br /> special meeting. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The following seven candidates were interviewed by the Coy Council: <br /> Mayan Krell,Kathryn Gofodh,Maree Haug,Robed Wilson.Deborah <br /> Wright.Scoff Bader and Brenda Stonecipher.They were each given thirty <br /> minutes in which to answer the identical six questions. <br /> Following the interviews the meeting recessed into executive session for <br /> the purpose of discussing the participants'qualifications. <br /> The meeting reconvened. <br /> Each council member was given a chance to nominate one finalist.If the <br /> nominee received a second the nominee was placed on the finalist list. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson and seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to nominate Brenda Stonecipher as a finalist for City <br /> Council Position No.1. <br /> 221 <br />
