February 5,2003 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,February 5,2003 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Haooe dreading.Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Anderson;Council Members Krell,Olson.Haim.Gipson,Campbell,and <br /> Pope were present Council Member Overstreet was absent. <br /> Coundl Member Campbell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the January 29,2003 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> President Hatloe requested a moment of silence in recognition of the <br /> seven astronauts lost during the space shuttle disaster this past week. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Anderson reported that he attended the Scholastic M and Wring <br /> Award ceremony held at the Historic Everett Theater.He Invited ever,krie <br /> to go and see the various artworks end wrings exhibited at the Monte <br /> Cristo. <br /> REPORT <br /> Ken Housden,Transportation Services,gave an update regarding new <br /> transit schedule changes.He reported that ridership has Increased by <br /> over 55%.The city's employees were credited with the smooth transition. <br /> THANK YOU <br /> Tom Hingson, Transportation Services, introduced Ann Fluke. <br /> representing Everett Community College.
