March 19,2003 <br /> Mayor Anderson read the Introduction of a letter which has been sent to <br /> the U.S.Army Space and Missile Defense Command requesting a 30day <br /> extension of the comment period on the Draft Environmental Impact <br /> Statement for the SBX proposal. <br /> COUNCIL BILL NO.0303-06 <br /> • <br /> FIRST AND SECOND READINGS: <br /> AN ORDINANCE establishing a shared leave program to transfer <br /> vacation leave between employees to provide shod-term financial <br /> stability for military reservists called to active duty. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Campbell reported on his visit to Snohomish County's <br /> Emergency Operations Center. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Merle Nagle,3315 Federal;Cynthia Dale,3419 Belt,Annette Busted,3223 <br /> Tulalip;and Michelle Kermoade,615 Warren Avenue spoke in opposition <br /> to the SBX proposal.They expressed concerns regarding its impact on <br /> the City's economic development and possible health risks from exposure <br /> to contaminants. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS <br />• Moved by Council Member Overstreet,seconded by Council Member <br /> Campbell to approve the following consent agenda items: <br />• <br /> 73 <br />
