October 6,2004 <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Krell who was excused. <br /> Motion sarrind. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed October,2004 as'National Breast Cancer <br /> Awareness Month.. <br /> JF_I <br /> Mayor Stephenson stated that the City of Everetcs Cultural Commission <br /> has approved the donation of a proposed sculpture commissioned by <br /> nationally known artist,Georgia Gerber,to the City of Everett by an <br /> anonymous donor through the Greater Everett Community Foundation.It <br /> will bea lifelike bronze sculpture of three children with a dog and will be <br /> placed on Colby in front of Coastal Community Bank. <br /> Peter Newland,former board member,Greater Everett Community <br /> Foundation,spoke regarding the sculpture and its donor. Me remarked <br /> that the donation will not only cover the cost of producing the sculpture <br /> and its installation,but will also include funds for its maintenance. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to accept the donation of a bronze sculpture by Georgie <br /> Gerber of three children and a dog to the City of Everett. <br /> Roll w celled with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Krell who was excused. <br /> Motion carrisd. <br /> 312 <br />
