He expressed concem <br /> that the Public Facilities District has not submitted their annual budget to <br /> the City of Everett. <br /> Council Member Overstreet.liaison to the Public Facilities District,stated <br /> that they are now in the process of preparing their first annual budget <br /> which will include their first 15 months of operation. <br /> Council Members Nielsen end Hattce congratulated Everett Police Officer <br /> Maryjane Hacker who was presented a medal of valor from the City of <br /> Glendale,California,this moming. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher stated that both she and City staff have <br /> been contacted by a citizen concerning the direction which City Council <br /> gave staff at the July 2t,2004 Council meeting regarding the Planning <br /> Commission's consideration of a proposed adult retail ordinance. She <br /> remarked that at that time she made a motion which was not voted en. <br /> Her intent in making the motion concerning the term"prespectwa"was to <br /> suggest that any adult regulations apply only to new adult retell stores and <br /> not to adult retail businesses that were existing at the time of the <br /> moratorium. She stated that the council members also expressed their <br /> belief and hope that they not create a possible concentration of adult retail <br /> businesses in our City.They recognize that the Planning Commission Is <br /> an Independent commission which is tree to consider various alternatives <br /> as it looks at the adoption of new regulations and is free to make whatever <br /> recommendations to the City Council that it deems appropriate. <br /> 313 <br />
