January 26.2005 <br /> President Krell reported that she attended an event sponsored by <br />• Starbucks in Seattle to announce 51,000.000 worth of park grants that <br /> they will be making available in the amounts of$10,000 each.This is the <br /> first time Everett and Snohomish County have been included. <br /> Neighborhood groups may be able to take advantage of this program. <br /> The ground breaking of the Hilton Garden Inn near Paine Field was held <br /> last evening with several council members and Mayor Stephenson <br /> attending. The conshuction of the new Flight Center end Boeing Tour <br /> Center was also celebrated. <br /> NEW FIRE FIGHTERS <br /> Fire Chief Murray Gordon introduced two new Everett Fire Fighters,Chad <br /> Lisenby and Richard Couden. <br /> He also thanked all of the city departments,community businesses and <br /> area fire departments that provided support during the fire this pest <br /> weekend. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Jim Iles,Cey Attorney,requested an executive session regarding one <br /> legal and three reel estate matters. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> J.J.Frank,1606 263rd Place NW,Stanwood,expressed thanks for the <br /> great success of the Martin Luther King Jr.Celebration.He also invited <br /> the community to a community discussion that will be held February 23, <br /> 2005 atEverett <br /> Community l be held in celebration ofBlackHistory Monout th.ethnic <br /> populations. <br /> 24 <br />
