C <br /> March 16,2005 <br /> Petty DeGrool,Chief Strategic Officer.Providence Everett Medical <br /> Center,spoke regarding the need for PEMC to expand and modernize, <br /> and their reasons for expanding eastward for an acute care campus. <br /> Dr.Jim Blue,Neurosurgeon,addressed the need for the adjacency of <br /> facllifes to the transport of cnikally ill patients. <br /> Reed Shockey,ShockeylBrent,Inc.,2716 Colby Avenue,submitted an <br /> amendment to each of the two proposed resolutions(Exhibit A),and <br /> spoke regarding Providence Everett Medical Center's commitment to <br /> minimizing impacts to the neighborhood, supporting the Planning <br /> Commission's recommendations,and the guidelines of the Historical <br /> Commission. <br /> Gail Larson,CEO,Providence Everett Medical Center,commented on the <br /> benefits of the expansion to the community. <br /> Hilary Anne Hager,1321 Lombard,Donovan District,spoke regarding <br /> critical errors made in this process.She submitted a petition(Exhibit B) <br /> asking that any decisions regarding the expansion of PEMC be delayed to <br /> allow for further negotiations between the hospital,the community college <br /> and the City of Everett. <br /> Ganik Hudson-Falcon,1418 Lombard,Donovan District,disputed PEMC's <br /> claim that expending eastward is the"only option",and offered possible <br /> solutions.
