March 23,2005 <br /> height of the new garage would bee maximum of 81 feet The limit In the <br /> current zoning Is 80 feet <br /> Discussion ensued regarding the parking lot site,set backs and height <br /> Bonita Townsend, 804 Waverly, brought forth concems regarding <br /> increase neighborhood traffic,air pollution and noise.She suggested <br /> that abetter solution for the site of the college's new perking garage <br /> would be adjacent to North Broadway further away from residences. <br /> Moved by Council Member Overstreet,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION—EVERETT COMMUNITY COLLEGE REZONE <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to adopt Resolution No, 5500 approving: (1) a <br /> amendment to the Comprehensive Plan Map designation from 4.4 <br /> (mixed use commercial—multi family)to 2.2(CollegeslOniversities); <br /> and(2)adding the Institutional Overlay Zone to the proposed <br /> expansion area located east of the existing Campus and west of <br /> North Broadway.(The Everett Community College Rezone.) <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Olson fo amend the resolution deleting fhe words"including the <br /> College athletic facilities"from section 3,page 3,of the proposed <br /> resolution. <br /> Roll was called on the amendment with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 81 <br />
