July 20,2005 <br /> AYES: Krell,Olson,Hatice,Gipson,Nielsen,Stonecipher, <br /> Overstreet <br /> NAYS: None <br /> Ordinance No.2049-05 adopted. <br /> Council Member Nielsen left the Council Chambers. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING—COUNCIL BILL Na 050:31 <br /> President Krell opened a public hearing regarding Council Bill No.0506- <br /> 30,a proposed ordinance amending the Comprehensive Plan Map <br /> designation from Single Family(1.3)to Hospital(2.4)in the subject <br /> expansion area(Block 248),and a rezone from R-2(Single Family)to R- <br /> 21(Institution)including adoption of a Master Plan for the Providence <br /> Everett Medical Center Expansion. <br /> Dave Koenig,Planning,requested that a letter dated July 20,2005 to <br /> Allan Gillen from Gail Larson,Chief Executive Officer,Providence Everett <br /> Medical Center,be entered into the public record. He gave a brief <br /> description of the proposed amendment and rezone. <br /> President Krell invited public comment. <br /> Patricia DeGrool,Chief Strategic Officer,Providence Everett Medical <br /> Center;PEMC Dr.Cindy Marcus,on behalf of the physician's community, <br /> Mike Holcomb,Chair of the PEMC Community Board;and Gail Larson, <br /> Chief Executive Officer,PEMC;spoke in support of the proposed <br /> amendment end rezone and urged the City Council's approval. <br /> Bad Cattle,2707 Colby,Suite 1001,stated that PEMC is here to request <br /> approval of the proposed ordinance with the addition of clarifications <br /> proposed by the hospital.He requested that any documents submitted at <br /> the March 18,2005 City Council meeting be made part of the public <br /> record of this public hearing. <br /> 13 <br /> lby,spoke <br /> Reed S d changesckey-Brent Inc.,tothe ordinance.1 Heosteted that the arding PEMC's <br /> opose changes are <br /> 227 <br />
