July 27,2005 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> am.,July 27,2005 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall. <br /> President Krell presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Krell,Olson,Hatloe.Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> and Stonecipher were present Council Member Overstreet was excused. <br /> Council Member Nielsen led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed August 2,2005 as"National Night Out <br /> Against Crime"He presented the proclamation to Everett Police Officer <br /> Steve Paxton. <br /> VISITOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson recognized Chris Stow,State Representative,10w <br /> Legislative District,for his support of this community,his District and the <br /> State regarding transportation issues. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Stonecipher reminded everyone of the musical <br /> performance scheduled for 11:30 a.m.today at the Snohomish County <br /> Courthouse. <br /> GOLF TOURNAMENT <br /> Louise Masten-Stanton,President end CEO,Everett Area Chamber of <br /> Commerce,gave a brief report on their golf tournament which was held at <br /> Legion Memorial Golf Course. She commended Bruce Christie,golf <br /> management,and all those who helped plan and execute the tournament, <br /> and stated that it was a great event. <br /> 242 <br />
