February 15,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,February 15,2006.in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call It was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts. Olson,Hatloe, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher and Overstreet were present. Council Member <br /> Gipson was excused. <br /> Council Member Nielsen led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 8.2006 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed.Council Member Overstreet abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed the week of February 12-16,2006 as <br /> 'Career and Technical Education Week."He presented the proclamation <br /> to Carl Fender,Everett Public Schools. <br /> FIRE SUPPRESSION—NORTH MARINA REDEVELOPMENT <br /> Fire Chief Gordon spoke in response to a newspaper article in today's <br /> Herald regarding the fire prevention system for the North Marina <br /> Redevelopment project. He stated that the City of Everett has been In <br /> discussions with the Port of Everett for some time regarding the addition <br /> of a shore side connection to the design to provide water to the ends of <br /> the piers. He also remarked that them is no correlation with the City's <br /> decision to relocate Fire Stagier No.3 and their relationship with the <br /> firefighter's local,as speculated in the Herald. <br /> PRESENTATION—CITY WEB SITE <br /> Joe Boland,Information Technology,gave a brief slide presentation <br /> regarding the City of Everett's new web site design. <br /> 36 <br />
