March 1.2006 <br /> PU DATE <br /> Ryan Sass,Traffic Engineering,gave a brief update on disabled parking <br /> at the Everett Events Center in response to Council Member Gipson's <br /> concerns at the February 22,2006 council meeting. He stated that a <br /> parking study of the area has been initiated and the item has been placed <br /> on the agenda of the March 15.2006 Transportation Advisory Committee. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Olson requested that the coundl mambas be given a <br /> report regarding the golf strategic plan as soon as his completed. <br /> He announced that he attended the Charter Review Committee meeting <br /> on Monday evening.He stated that their draft timeline calls for proposed <br /> ordinances to be submitted by August T. He expressed concern that it <br /> would be too late to get them to the Snohomish County Auditor to be <br /> placed on the ballot. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Camp requested an executive session regarding two real <br /> estate matters,two litigation matters and one personnel matter. The <br /> session Is expected to last approximately one and a half hours with an <br /> anticipated announcement to follow <br /> UPDATE <br /> City Attorney Camp updated the council members regarding the status of <br /> litigation involving the City of Issaquah's residential restrictions on sex <br /> offenders. He stated that King County Superior Court granted partial <br /> summary judgments stating that there was nothing wrong with Issequah's <br /> ordinance on Its face but that it remains to be decided whether there are <br /> problems with the way it is being applied. He stated that there is also <br /> pending legislation that,if passed,would further restrict where se <br /> offenders live and allowing certain businesses to ban them from their <br /> premises. <br /> 51 <br />
