May 10,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,May 10,2006 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call It was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson.Hatton,Gips. <br /> Nielsen.and Stonecipher were present Council Member Overstreet was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Hatloe led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the May 3.2006 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Stephenson proclaimed the month of May,2006 as"Older <br /> Americans Month"and the week of May 8-12,2006 as"Senior Center <br /> Week."He presented the proclamation to George Brown,Senior Center <br /> Advisory Board. <br /> INTRODUCTION—NEW FIREFIGHTERS <br /> Chief Gordon,Fire Department.Introduced Todd Schlemmer and Seth <br /> Albright,new firefighters. <br /> Mayor Stephenson announced that a meeting regarding a four-year <br /> university for the greater Everett/Snohomish County area will be held at <br /> 6:30 p.m.,May 15.2006 in the Snohomish County Administration East <br /> Public Conference Room A and B for those who wish to attend. <br /> 128 <br />
