May10,2006 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> RESOLUTION—CHARTER REVIEW COMMITTEE <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to remove a proposed resolution regarding the Charter <br /> Review Committee from the table and resume active council <br /> discussion. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Overstreet wino was excused. <br /> Morton carried. <br /> Moved by Council Member Nielsen,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to adopt Resolution No.5764 establishing a Charter Review <br /> Committee,defining the responsibilities of the Committee and <br /> amending Resolution No.5721. <br /> Council Member Olson explained that the proposed resolution will allow <br /> City Council the discretion to place the proposed changes to the City <br /> Charter on the ballot separately oras a single action Incorporating all such <br /> recommended changes. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Nielsen to amend the proposed resolution as follows:to add a period <br /> after the word"ballot"In the second line from the bottom of Section <br /> 5,and to extend the completion date for the Charter Review <br /> Committee's report to June 15,2006. <br /> Roll was called on the amendment with all council members voting yes <br /> except Council Member Gipson who voted no and Overstreet who was <br /> excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 129 <br />
