• <br /> July 5,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,July 5,2006 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Vice President Olson presiding. Upon roll cell It was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson;Council Members Roberts,Olson,Gipson,Nielsen,and <br /> Overstreet were present.Council Members Hatloe and Stonecipher were <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Overstreet led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 28,2006 Everett City Council meeting as <br /> updated were approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson commented that It was a great 4"of July.He thanked <br /> Fire Chief Gordon for ensuring the fireworks for the 4"celebration were <br /> inspected and safe. He also thanked Karen Shaw,Administration,for <br /> seeing that the last of the funds from the private sector were raised to <br /> support the celebration. <br /> OATH—POLICE OFFICER <br /> Police Chief Scharf introduced Scott Rizzo,a new police officer. <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Overstreet to concur with the appointment of Scott Rizzo as police <br /> officer. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br />• Members Hadoe and Stonecipher who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk administered the police appointment to office oath and <br /> Mayor Stephenson presented Officer Riszo his badge. <br /> 191 <br />
