July 26,2006 <br /> The special meeting/retreat of the Everett City Council was called to order <br /> at 12:00 p.m.,July 26,2006 at the Museum of Flight,8416 Paine Field <br /> Boulevard,Everett,President Stonecipher presiding.Upon roll call it was <br /> found that Mayor Stephenson;Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hatloe, <br /> Gipson,Nielsen,Stonecipher and Overstreet were present.Also present <br /> re: Ned Johnston.City Attorney;Jim Iles,CAA;Debra Bryant,Chief <br /> Financial Officer/Executive Director/Treasurer,other city staff members <br /> and a citizen. <br /> President Stonecipher welcomed everyone and explained that this was a <br /> follow-up to the January 18,2006 City Council Retreat and the objective <br /> was to gather Information and learn what city staff and administration has <br /> gained since the last retreat. <br /> The following agenda Items were discussed: <br /> 1.Communications Follow-up <br /> There was s that communications is working well. <br /> Response and follow-up has been great <br /> 2.2006 Top Priorities and Objectives Status Reports <br /> • LEED buildino standards <br /> Paul Crane,Utilities introduced two consultants;Robin <br /> Rogers of Otak,Architecture,Engineers and Planning,end <br /> Robert Kuchdnski,CDi Engineers who made presentations <br /> regarding green buildings,what they are and how the:,are <br /> used.Handouts were provided. <br /> Conclusion: President Stonecipher suggested that an ad <br /> hoc committee be formed to come back with a <br /> recommendation. <br /> • Citywide WiFi <br /> Joe Boland,IT,gave a presentation on Citywide WiFi,what <br /> it is,why deploys and various suggestions on how to build it. <br /> A handout was provided. <br /> 236 <br />
