August 23,2008 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> m.,August 23,2006 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Roberts,Olson,Halloe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,Stonecipher,and Overstreet were present. <br /> President Stonecipher requested an executive session following the <br /> pledge of allegiance to discuss a litigation matter. The session is <br /> expected to lest approximately five minutes with no anticipated <br /> announcement to follow. <br /> Mayor Stephenson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> The City Council meeting recessed for an executive session and <br /> reconvened. <br /> The minutes of the August 18,2006 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed.Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson stated that he had an opportunity to tour Donovan <br /> Lane.the restoration of eleven homes from the Donovan District. He <br /> invited everyone to attend the open house this afternoon. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked the Mayor and all those involved for <br /> their efforts to bring higher education to the area. <br /> Council Member Hatloe Introduced Vicky Smith,Event Manager,Everett <br /> Area Chamber of Commerce. <br /> 259 <br />
