She <br /> commended Bruce Christie and his staff and the City of Everett for their <br /> support. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Johnston responded to the issues that were raised at the <br /> August 16.2006 council meeting by Ron Hanson regarding the towing <br /> ordinance. He stated that after researching the law and communicating <br /> with the Washington State Patrol.staff has concluded that the City's <br /> ordinance <br /> as <br /> ended is a valid exercise of City power to regulate tow <br /> companies and their activities.and that the Ci ys exercise is not In conflict <br /> with State law. <br /> City Attamey Johnston requested an executive session regarding a <br /> 1111gatIon matter.
