September 20,2006 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts thanked the voters for passing the charter <br /> amendments on the ballot end the Charter Review Committee for their <br /> work. <br /> He stated Mat Snohomish County passed Ordinance No.05721 last year <br /> placing limits on odor emanating hunt wastewater treatment facilities.He <br /> expressed concern regarding its possible affect on the City of Everetns <br /> facility. <br /> Council Member Gipson reported on his attendance at the grand opening <br /> of a new coffee bar at the Everett Senior Center. <br /> He expressed conceal regarding the lack of police presence in the <br /> downtown core to maintain a safe,clean environment for the public.He <br /> requested a report outlining plans for police manpower and compensation <br /> in the future. <br /> Council Member Hatiee reported on his attendance at a meeting in <br /> Spokane to discuss downtown development. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Johnston thanked staff and the Charter Review Committee <br /> for their hard work. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Elizabeth Rabideau,9220 Holly Drive#E8;and Danny Gregg,9220 Holly <br /> Drive fF4,spoke regarding the loss of mobile home parks as affordable <br /> housing and encouraged the City of Everett to support the Everett <br /> Housing Authority's efforts to acquire and save mobile home parks. <br /> Council President Stonecipher suggested that Bud Alkire attend a <br /> workshop with City staff to discuss what the Housing Authority can do <br /> 289 <br />
