November 15,2006 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,November 15,2006,In the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hell,President Stonecipher presiding.Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Olson, Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher and Overstreet were present.Council Members Roberts and <br /> Hatloe were excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 9,2006 City Council were approved as <br /> printed. Council Members Gipson and Overstreet abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson thanked Debra Wright end her staff for the greet COO <br /> Dance at the Senior Center. He stated that them were over 700 <br /> attendees. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Overstreet presented Mayor Stephenson with a'happy <br /> coat.from the Port of Everett and the Port of Hiroshima's signing <br /> ceremony. <br /> Council Member Gipson requested a staff report on the towing ordinance <br /> which was passed several weeks ego. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> David Mascarenas,517 Laurel Drive;Wally Stover.710 35"Street;and <br /> Mark Sexauer,Anchor Pub.1001 Hewitt Avenue,spoke in opposition to <br /> the proposed removal of the existing railroad bridge crossing at Hewitt <br /> Avenue and its replacement with an earthen berm. <br /> 354 <br />
