February 14.2007 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> am..February 14.2007 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson,Council Members Roberts,Olson,Hagoe,Gipson. <br /> Nielsen.Stonecipher and Overstreet were present. <br /> Mayor Stephenson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 7,2007 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Member Haaoe abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson requested the city council's concurrence regarding the <br /> following appointments: <br /> APPOINTMENTS—CULTURAL COMMISSION AND HISTORICAL <br /> COMMISSION <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to concur with the appointment of Steven Ray Liedlich to the <br /> Cultural Commission,Position No.5,for the remainder of a sie.yeer <br /> term ending December 31,2009 and to concur with the appointment <br /> of Chandra Sadro to the Everett Historical Commission,Position No. <br /> 6,for the remainder of a sle-year term ending December 31,2011. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> REPORT-POLICE STAFFING <br /> Police Chief Scharf gave an update an police staffing relating that there <br /> are still difficulties in the police recruitment and training areas(academy). <br /> He announced two personnel changes. Laura Van Slyck will become a <br /> legal advisor for the Everett Police Department and Mike Fisher will <br /> become the City Prosecutor. <br /> 45 <br />
