February 14,2007 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts also indicated that there is ongoing concern <br /> regarding the police academy capacity. He stated that last night's fatal <br /> accident on 1-5 near Marysville underscores how fragile our transportation <br /> system Is as d created traffic backups throughout the entire area and on <br /> SR 529.The bridge project on SR 529 is not scheduled for upgrade until <br /> the year 2014. <br /> Council Member Overstreet,as well as Council Members Roberts and <br /> Nielsen complimented Wendy McClure,Office of Neighborhoods,on the <br /> fine job with the Neighborhood Expo this past weekend. <br /> Council Member Nielson indicated that 200 attended the Neighborhood <br /> Expo. <br /> RESOLUTION—EVENTS CENTER FINANCING <br /> President Stonecipher brought forth a resolution regarding confirming the <br /> City's financial commitments with respect to bonds and Everett Events <br /> Center financings. She stated that this Is not new business but a <br /> housekeeping matter. <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to adopt Resolution No.5866 authorizing and approving the <br /> execution and delivery of certain confirming undertakings by the City <br /> In connection with the Everett Events Center financings,and certain <br /> other actions in connection therewith. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Ned Johnston,City Attorney,stated there would be no executive session <br /> today. <br /> 46 <br />
