August 29,2007 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,August 29,2007 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call ft was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson;Council Members Olson,Hallos,Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher.and Overstreet were present.Council Member Roberts was <br /> excused. <br /> Mayor Stephenson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 22,2007 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Member Hatloe abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson wished everyone a nice Labor Day. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Heave indicated it was good to be back after a couple of <br /> weeks of vacation. <br /> Council Member Gipson asked if the City can post on Channel 21 the <br /> pictures of those who have prostitution convictions. President <br /> Stonecipher suggested that this matter be taken before the Public Safety <br /> Committee to discuss options and report back to the City Council. <br /> Council Member Olson made a comment regarding the 10 year naming <br /> fights agreement with Comcast.He clarified that the name of the facility, <br /> the Everett Events Center,remains.The only thing that has changed Is <br /> the name of the arena within the Everett Events Center,Comcast Arena. <br /> Council Member Nielsen,as liaison to the Planning Department,brought <br /> forth a zoning matter regarding mobile home parks.He stated that there <br /> has been an issue with mobile home parks and the pressure to convert <br /> 293 <br />
