• <br /> September 25,2007 <br /> A special meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 <br /> a.m.,September 25,2007,in the City Council Chambers of the Eve. <br /> City Hall,President Stonecipher presiding.Upon roll call It was found that <br />• <br /> Mayor Stephenson and Council Members Robeds,Krell,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher and Overstreet were present.Council Members Hafloe and <br /> Gipson were excused. <br /> Council Member Krell led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the September 19,2007 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as panted.Council Member Krell abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephenson welcomed Council Member Krell. He stated that he <br /> attended the rededication of Kiwanis Park,and thanked John Petersen, <br /> Parks,and the council for their supped.The Mayor announced that the <br /> City received a call from the Governors office late yesterday notifying <br /> them that two of the four final sites for the University of Washington nodh <br /> branch campus are located in Everett. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> The council members welcomed Council Member Krell back. She <br /> responded that it was good to be back. <br /> UPDATE—WIGGUMS HOLLOW SKATEBOARD PARK <br /> John Petersen,Parks,at council's request,gave a brief update regarding <br /> the Wiggums Hollow skateboard park.He remarked that a design plan <br /> was delivered In mid-April and they believed that construction would be <br /> completed in mid-October.He stated that three Issues arose that required <br /> due diligence to resolve;the time to finalize the design for the entire site <br /> exceeded their expectations due to slope and elevation issues on the site <br /> and the need to assure accessibility for parking and disabled spectators, <br /> the updated construction cost estimate from the designer exceeded the <br /> 315 <br />
