• November 14,2007 <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Haloe stated that each year at this time the city council <br /> president for the following year is chosen. <br /> Moved by Council Member Hatloe,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to nominate Council Member Nielsen as City Council <br /> President/Mayor Pro Tem for 2008. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Gipson and Overstreet who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Council Member Nielsen responded that he is looking laniard to the task. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported that represented the City in welcoming <br /> veterans to the VFW Veterans Day dinner. <br /> He thanked President Stonecipher for a great job over the past two years <br /> as Council President. • <br /> The council members congratulated Council Member Nielsen for being <br /> elected 2008 Council President. <br /> Council Member Nielsen related that the Herald this morning had an <br /> aANe regarding the Collins Building.The Port Commission is indicating <br /> that the plan for the Collins Building that's been advanced by the <br /> developer,an interim use as a mini storage facility,was something that <br /> the city prohibited. He clarified that a development agreement is <br /> something that is subject to modification.To his knowledge no one on the <br /> city council has been approached about a possible change to the <br /> development agreement.With regard to the City's role the City has not <br /> issued any definite ruling on whether the development agreement would <br /> be modified or not. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> 378 <br />
