November 21,2007 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was celled to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,November 21,2007 In the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Stonecipher presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephenson;Council Members Roberts,Olson.Hatloe,Gipson, <br /> Nielsen,and Stonecipher were present.Council Member Overstreet was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the November 14,2007 City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed.Council Member Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH—POLICE OFFICERS <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts to concur with the appointments of Lance Uhden,Margaret <br /> Hodges,Hans Schweizer,and Dennis Ward as new police officers. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Overstreet who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered the oath of once and Mayor <br /> Stephenson presented them with their badges. <br /> NATIONAL ACCREDITATION—POLICE <br /> Chief Scharf,Police,announced that the Everett Police Department has <br /> successfully concluded a multi-year process and has attained <br /> internationally acknowledged law enforcement recognition by the <br /> Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies,Inc. <br /> (GALEA). He gave a brief background of the Commission end spoke <br /> regarding the 371 standards that the Everett Police Department was <br /> ..xu. <br /> 384 <br />
