November 21,2007 <br /> required to meet.He commended Lieutenant Cheryl Braley who led the <br /> assessment process. <br /> Mayor Stephenson commended Pat McClain,Administration,for his work <br /> regarding the sang of the UW Branch campus.He congratulated Council <br /> Member Hatloe,who was one of 24 elected officials to be recognized by <br /> the National League of Cities for achieving the distinctive Diamond Level <br /> in its Certificate of Achievement Program. <br /> The Mayor wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> The council members wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and <br /> congratulated Council Member Hatloe on his achievement. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance at the National <br /> League of Cities Conference,the Association of Washington Cities' <br /> Legislative Committee,and the Library Board meeting. <br /> Council Member Nielsen stated that he attended the National League of <br /> Cites Conference and that It was very worthwhile. <br /> Council President Stonecipher stated that action hem no.10 has been <br /> pulled from the agenda. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Mike Dobbs,3931 Friday Avenue,stated that the City of Everett has <br /> better then 50 percent rental properties.He proposed a plan to clean up <br /> the rental stock by doing rental inspections. <br /> Mayor Stephenson remarked that the City of Everett has been looking at a <br /> number of ordinances to hold landlords accountable for the prepedies <br /> they rent.It will be brought before the Public Safety Committee soon. <br /> 385 <br />
