January 9,2008 <br /> Council beHtqueted thiendly am °takes <br /> betCouncweenMemWall andra <br /> Hewierred froms10that a.m.e for <br /> to 2 p.m."be added to the <br /> motion. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> AGREEMENT—MARSHLANDS SUBAREA PLAN <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts,seconded by Council Member <br /> Hatloe to authorize the Mayor to sign Grant Agreement No.G0800512 <br /> between the State of Washington,Department of Ecology and the <br /> City of Everett for the Marshlands Sub-Area Plan project in the <br /> amount of$199,000.00. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION—PROHIBITED AREAS <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to adopt Resolution No.5878 establishing prohibited <br /> areas related to areas of drug and prostitution trafficking. <br /> Laura Van Slyck,Legal,stated that on December 19,2007 the Council <br /> adopted ordinances relating to Stay Out of Drug Areas orders and Stay <br /> Out of Areas of Prostitution orders. These ordinances which become <br /> effective January 9,2008,require that SODA and SOAP orders set forth <br /> prohibited areas that have been established by resolution ata minimum of <br /> every two years that are supported by declarations Ind/or other swom <br /> testimony. <br /> Council Member Olson questioned if changing the prohibited areas would <br /> just move the activity. Laura responded that it could but enforcement <br /> 11 <br />
