Mayor Stephenson commended <br /> Caldie and stated that the Everett Chamber has indicated willingness to <br /> work with them. <br /> CONSENT ITEM <br /> Moved by Council Member Stonecipher,seconded by Council <br /> Member Roberts to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTION—CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No.5877 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the City of Everett in the amount of <br /> $5,713,830.52 for the period of December 22,2007 through December <br /> 28,2007. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> STREET CLOSURE—DR.MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.MARCH <br /> Moved by Council Member Hatloe,seconded by Council Member <br /> Affholter to approve a rolling street closure from the Snohomish <br /> County Plaza,traveling west on Wall Street,north on Colby Avenue, <br /> east on Everett Avenue,and south on Broadway to the Everett <br /> Events Center on January 16,2008,10:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m.,for a Dr. <br /> Martin Luther King,Jr.Community March with the condition that <br /> Immediate access be provided for emergency vehicles in the event of <br /> an emergency. <br /> t0 <br />
