June 11.2008 <br /> OATH—POLICE OFFICER <br /> Moved by Council Member Olson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Hatloe to concur with the appointment of Nathan Wallace as police <br /> officer. <br /> Roll was <br /> called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> MemberGipson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Deputy Coy Clerk administered his oath and Mayor Stephenson <br /> presented him with his badge. <br /> Mayor Stephenson introduced David Hall who will become the City's <br /> Deputy City Attomey beginning June 24,2008. <br /> Council Member Gipson arrived. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Stonecipher reported on her attendance at the <br /> Affordable Housing Conference sponsored by the Housing Consortium of <br /> Snohomish County and a Transportation Committee meeting. <br /> Council Member Roberts introduced a proposed resolution addressing the <br /> Federal Aviation Administration's relationship wth Paine Field.He stated <br /> that the City received a letter from the FM on June 4,2008 which raises <br /> concerns <br /> and is associated with their relationship to Paine Field and <br /> the need to maintain the certifications and tensa and conditions under <br /> which Paine Field has received$57,000,000.00 in funds and grants.He <br /> remarked that when Paine Field was transferred from the Federal <br /> govemmeM to the County,the Federal government reserved certain rights <br /> which included deed restrictions and conditions of the transfer.The letter <br /> points out that the honoring of those terms and conditions means that the <br /> County needs to negotiate in good faith with all parties that seek to have <br /> access to air space. <br /> 175 <br />
