June 17,2008 <br /> AGREEMENT—FORESTRY CONSULTING SERVICES <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts,seconded by Council Member <br /> Affholter to authorize the Mayor to sign the professional services <br /> agreement with Mark Hitchcock,dba as Fairweather Forestry,for <br /> forestry management and consulting services to be completed by <br /> June 30,2009 for an amount not to exceed$75,000.00. <br /> Roil was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Member Gipson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING—2008 FIXED ROUTE SERVICE CHANGE <br /> President Nielsen opened a public hearing regarding Everett Transits <br /> proposed August 24,2008 Fixed Route Service Change.He stated that <br /> there would be no council action. <br /> • <br /> Tom Hingson,Everett Transit Director,explained that the proposed <br /> service enhancements include a new mute deviation to serve Mariner <br /> High School and a potential change to service In the View Ridge <br /> Neighborhood. The proposed service plan is consistent with the 20(31,- <br /> 2013 <br /> 0(&2013 Transportation Development Plan.A public hearing is not required <br /> fore service change of this scope;however,Everett Transit's practice is to <br /> provide a formal opportunity for public comment when significant changes <br /> to routes are proposed. <br /> Richard Tarry,Everett Transit,explained that on board surveys and <br /> neighborhood meetings wereused to gather public input regarding <br /> improvement of service.Thproposed service changes are:1)On Route <br /> 11 Airport Road—the proposal Is an added loop to Incorporate part of <br /> Avenue and 112a Street,which currently have no service;2)View Ridge— <br /> to evaluate various potential changes to service In the neighborhood. <br /> Council Member Gipson joined the city council meeting. <br /> 184 <br />
