BRT is <br /> expected to be in operator in late 2009. <br /> Animal Shelter <br /> We are on schedule to open the new animal shelter in spring 2009.The <br /> w shelter is designed to serve cities,the Tulalip Tribes,and <br /> unincorporated Snohomish County,and t is expected to accommodate the <br /> region's animal shelter needs for the next 20 years. <br /> Public Library <br /> Next year,we will introduce new self-checkout services for library patrons. <br /> The new stations will allow visitors to pay with debit and credit cards at <br /> point of checkout without staff assistance. <br /> Senior Center <br /> The Everett Senior Activity Center will use two grants totaling$883,000 to <br /> expand the multipurpose room,extend the stage,Install an elevator,and <br /> upgrade the kitchen. <br /> Artseace <br /> We anticipate construction of a new artist live-work space will begin in <br /> 2009. The Arts Council of Snohomish County and Awspace have <br /> experienced great success with fundraising etfods to date,raising more <br /> than$4 million of their$6 million goal.The Ads Council and Artspace <br /> were Gently awarded$1 million each towards the project from Building <br /> For The Arts in Seattle. <br /> RIverfront Development <br /> Our partnership with Oliver McMillan for the redevelopment of the <br /> 359 <br />
