• <br /> November 26,2606 <br /> REPORT—SEX OFFENDER TASK FORCE SUMMARY <br /> David Hall,Legal,explained that the Sex Offender Task Force's work is <br /> finished and handed out a report and recommendations to the city council <br /> members. He talked about four categories and the recommendations: <br /> concentration;housing incentives;a single source of comprehensive <br /> information;end fair share. <br /> Council members asked many questions conceming this issue. <br /> Mayor Stephenson recognized and thanked the task force members and <br /> city staff. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENT—BOND RATING <br /> Mayor Stephenson announced that the city's bond rating has been <br /> upgraded two steps to AA+.The report cited the city's strong financial <br /> management policies and long range planning as a basis for the upgrade. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> The council members as well as Mayor Stephenson wished everyone a <br /> Happy Thanksgiving. <br /> Council Member Gipson brought forth a concern regarding eight parking <br /> places that are reserved for Snohomish County Sheriffs Department and <br /> that this parking is not available to citizens. He felt they should be <br /> eliminated as the county now has a garage. He also brought forth a <br /> concern regarding construction on Marine View Drive and the need for <br /> adequate lighting. <br /> President Nielsen reported that on behalf of the city council he attended <br /> an event where Barbara Yates,Everett Housing Authority,was presented <br /> a plaque commending heron twenty five years of service. <br /> 397 <br />
