December 10,2008 <br /> Deputy Chief Lineberry explained that trying to compare various <br /> communities.statistics doesn't always reflect a true picture.He presented <br /> the annual update relating to crime statistics. <br /> The city council members discussed many aspects of the statistics.They <br /> voiced a need to address substandard housing. <br /> Mayor Stephenson encouraged neighborhood groups to continue their <br /> involvement,i.e,block watches. <br /> Chief Scharf thanked the city council and mayor for their continued <br /> support. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> David Hall,Assistant City Attorney,requested an executive session <br /> regarding a real estate matter at the end of themeeting tolast <br /> approximately twenty minutes with no anticipated announcement. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Ruth Hopkins,1343 Oakes,brought forth a concern over a sewer back up <br /> at her home In October.City staff will be addressing her concerns. <br /> CONSENT ITEMS <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson,seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to approve the following consent items: <br /> RESOLUTE N—CLAIMS <br /> To adopt Resolution No.6090 acknowledging the payment of audited <br /> and approved claims against the clty of Everett In the amount of <br /> $7,205,114.94 for the period of November 22,2008 through November <br /> 26,2008. <br /> 415 <br />
