February 19.2009 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m.,February 19,2009 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall,President Hallos presiding. Upon roll call s was found that Mayor <br /> Stephenson and Council Members Olson,Hetloe,Gipson,Nielsen, <br /> Stonecipher and Affholter were present. Council Member Roberts was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 11,2009 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Council Member Nielsen reported that he attended a seminar regarding <br /> parking and mixed use development. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> REPORT—NEIGHBORS FOR NEIGHBORHOODS <br /> Jim Iles,Cay Attorney,responded in a request submitted to the City <br /> Council a few weeks ago from Neighbors for Neighborhoods regarding a <br /> revised traffic circulation plan.He gave a brief chronology of the process <br /> regarding the adoption of master plans for the Colby Campus and Everett <br /> Community College(ECC)properties. 130 and 14 Streets were <br /> established as access sheets for the medical center campus.He painted <br /> out that public process has been followed and a decision made.It would <br /> be inappropriate for the City to unilaterally reconsider its decision at this <br /> time. The 2008 action provides an opportunity to address some of the <br /> concerns raised by the neighborhood which is scheduled to occur,but not <br /> et this time. <br /> • <br /> 41 <br />
