June 3,2009 <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Kim Carlson,Everett,expressed concern regarding the need for more city <br /> parks.He specifically talked about the Jazwleck property that is for sale <br /> and would make an excellent park. <br /> John Van Dalen,Everett,invited all to attend the Fun in the Sun Street <br /> Fair on July 4.sponsored by the First Baptist Church. <br /> Katy Duke.Everett.spoke against the proposed change that would <br /> eliminate the reduction of parking fines and requested a solution to guest <br /> parking. <br /> Debra Beckett,Everett,also voiced opposition to the proposed change <br /> regarding parking fines and had a concern regarding no residential permit <br /> parking in the central business district. <br /> President Hetloe indicated that many people had signed up to speak <br /> regarding Council Bill.No.090511.He indicated those wishing to do so <br /> could still speak to this subject but considering the prior action In the <br /> meeting were not required to speak. <br /> David LaRue,Everett,stated that the proposed ordinance regarding <br /> inspections of rental propenes puts an undue burden on landlords. <br /> Mahn Van Leuven,Lake Stevens,thanked the city council for extending <br /> the consideration of Council BM No.090511 regarding Inspections of <br /> rental properties for up to 90 days. He requested that the scope be <br /> narrowed to take the burden off landlords and to consider the Landlord <br /> Tenant Act. <br /> CONSENT ITEM <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts,seconded by Council Member <br /> Gipson to approve the following consent items: <br /> 145 <br />
